Betty White is serious business.

January 7, 2011

A little while ago, we posted on the questionable releases of Bluewater Comics. Let’s face it, they’re the TMZ of the comics world, low in quality and riding trends shortly before beating them to death.

Naturally, they’d want to squeeze some life out of the unexpected popularity of Betty White. If you ask me, the cover looks more like an artistic rendering of Patrick Swayze in To Wong Fu than the beloved actress, but that’s Bluewater for you.

But the fact that Bluewater has another horrible horrible comic out isn’t why we’re posting this. The surprising fact is that the first run of Female Force: Betty White sold out the day of release.

I can dig the kitch factor, it’s Betty White (supposedly)! Just a silly piece of nonsense that was too hard for the hipsters to pass up.

Or maybe they just wanted to see drawings of Betty back in her sexy nudie picture days. America’s grandma!
