How do you say “Forsooth” in Simlish?
EA has announced a brand new Sims Game: Sims Medieval. It’s not an expansion, which was my first impression. No, this is a whole new game that takes the Sims out of the modern setting and drops them into the Dark Ages. What’s more, it’s the first in a series, but there’s no more details on that. (Sims Prehistoric? Sims Post-Apocalyptic?)
The game will focus not only on the life management we’re used to in the Sims, but also conquering neighboring lands, trading goods, forging armor and swords, and protecting your castle.
“The Middle Ages is a time of intrigue, legend, and excitement. It offers a perfect backdrop for a brand new series from The Sims studio due to the limitless stories that can be told,” said Scott Evans, General Manager of The Sims Studio at EA. “The Sims Medieval offers a new way for players to experience The Sims which we hope fans will enjoy, and it features gameplay that fans of strategy and role-playing games will find appealing such as controlling an entire kingdom and quest-based gameplay mechanics.”
The game is due out in spring 2010. Read more at Kotaku.
