Kevin Smith to direct Heroes!

Yesterday at the Comic-Con International, Kevin Smith took the stage for two things. First, he plugged his new show Reaper, which is all about “the adventurous exploits of a videogame-playing, ambitionless slacker who becomes a bounty hunter for the devil.” Sounds badass.
Second: to announce he’ll be directing the premiere episode of Heroes: Origins!
OMFG YAY!!!!

So there is gear out there for geek gals, but not much. Everytime I stop into my local comic shop, I hope to find some new t-shirt in a lady size. But… alas. Hasn’t happened yet.
Part of the inspiration behind this blog was to design t-shirt for geek gals. And while I’m all about designing, [...]

The thing [...]

More fun from Perpetual Kid:
What a clever design! Each XPOSED bag has an X-ray image on it of the supposed contents, including a gun in the grocery bag, brass knuckles in the shoulder tote, and a spiked collar in the cosmetic bag.
Pretty cheap, too, ranging from $7.99 to $11.99.

Obsession: Talisman

It never occurred to me how much Dungeons and Dragons and Monopoly were like chocolate and peanut butter. They go suprisingly well together.
That’s the best way to describe Talisman, a game I never knew existed and am now utterly obsessed with. Y’see, the original game came out in 1983, with expansions and new [...]
Hairspray is the Word

The funny thing about Hairspray is that it always felt like a musical. The silly hairstyles, costumes, and over the top exuberance that were all in the 1988 John Waters original could easily exist in the sometimes surreal world of move musicals. Watching it, you have to remind yourself that it’s not just a [...]
